
Last Thursday, February 6, in the Citius Auditorium, the five finalists of the 6th Altia Premia presented their final degree projects to the jury, composed of representatives from Altia and the School of Engineering of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Antía Varela, Carla Pereira, Martín Omil, Raúl José Salgado and Uxía Tacón - the finalists of this edition - presented their works, all of them of great quality.
The jury's decision will be announced between February 17 and 21.

The finalists presented their work to the jury, composed of Josefina Fernández, Ana María González, Miguel Ares, and José Ramón Tubío, representing Altia; and María Jesús Taboada and Alberto Suárez, representing the School of Engineering of the University of Santiago de Compostela.

- Martín Omil Nogales with his project "MY PICTOSTORIES: animated and interactive stories for everyone."
- Raúl José Salgado García with his project "PRISMATIC: Machine learning for multimodal cardiac medical image segmentation."
- Uxía Carro Tacón with her project "PERIOSTAGE: Application for the annotation of the periodontogram and calculation of the stage of periodontal disease."
About Altia Premia
Altia Premia is a joint initiative between Altia and the ETSE (Spanish Technical University of Seville) designed to promote digital training and talent among Computer Engineering undergraduate students. The award seeks to recognize students' effort and passion, granting the winner a prize of €1,500.
