We were awarded the public contract for the development, management, maintenance, evolution, and dissemination of the open data portal, which aims to become an island benchmark in data dissemination and reuse.
Open Data replaces the Tenerife Data portal, improving its features , expanding its functionality , and increasing the available data , including meteorological data, accessibility data for different areas of the island, and data related to the influx of outdoor activities.
Among its features, the accessibility map stands out, allowing companies to create and design accessible routes or prepare feasibility studies related to the environment.
Interested parties can find the available data using the integrated text search engine, search by topic, or customize their own searches using the various filters available. Each dataset displays information about its creation and update date, author, update frequency, reuse license, and more. Data can also be viewed in tables, graphs, and maps , and downloaded in various reusable formats.
The main benefits of this project are that it promotes transparency; facilitates federation with other organizations ( Canary Islands Open Data and the national portal datos.gob ); fosters the creation of a community and ecosystem in Tenerife around open data; deepens the automation of open data extraction, transformation, and publication processes ; and ensures the alignment of Open Government developments .
With this project, we continue to strengthen our position in data processing and the provision of services to public administrations by developing and implementing initiatives aimed at facilitating the use of reliable information by citizens, businesses, and the public administrations themselves.
