At ALTIA, we continue to champion young talent as the driving force of the future . That's why we've just completed another edition of our GenTech program, an initiative designed to foster interest in STEM careers among secondary and high school students.
The 7th edition of GenTech has had the participation of more than 450 students from 12 educational centers in Galicia and Madrid, consolidating the sustained growth of the program and its ability to continue to awaken interest in digital professions.
A space to discover your professional future
GenTech was created with a clear objective: to bring the realities of the technology sector into the classroom. Through talks given by professionals from ALTIA , we create a direct and engaging space for conversation where students can learn firsthand what it's like to work in the ICT field and what opportunities the current and future job market offers.
During these sessions, we share real experiences, career paths, and reflections on the role of technology in society, helping to dismantle stereotypes and show digital training as a key tool for professional development.
Promoting STEM vocations from an early age
Since its launch, GenTech has established itself as a key initiative to promote scientific and technological vocations among young people, in a context where the sector continues to face a significant talent challenge.
In this edition, 13 volunteers from ALTIA actively participated in the program, sharing their experience and contributing to a positive impact in classrooms. Their involvement reinforces one of GenTech's core principles: the value of people as agents of inspiration and change.
A program that continues to grow
Throughout its various editions, GenTech has evolved into a meeting place between generations , where students and professionals discuss the present and future of technology, as well as the digital skills that will shape the development of the coming years.
The program, which is developed in secondary and high school educational centers , maintains its commitment to continue expanding its reach and extending to more territories, bringing the technological gene closer to new generations and contributing to the development of a more prepared, diverse and inclusive digital ecosystem.
