The Mallorca Council has entrusted us with the implementation of an AI-based cyber defense service , as well as the provision of security services from the Security Operations Center (SOC). The agreement amounts to €192,758.40 and is valid for three years.
The Consell de Mallorca has a wide range of security solutions, but at the moment it decides to have a next-generation solution that allows it to articulate an adequate capacity for prevention, defense, analysis and investigation against potential threats , in addition to having cybersecurity services provided by specialized personnel who ensure its security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
To this end, we offer the Consell de Mallorca the implementation of Darktrace 's Self-Learning AI (Artificial Intelligence) , capable of detecting and responding to threats without interfering with normal business operations, as well as a solution that informs, contextualizes, and conducts incident investigations in real time to take appropriate measures to prevent any type of threat or vulnerability.
Maximum security 24x7x365
Darktrace detects new and previously unknown attacks, custom hacks, insider threats, new ransomware, espionage, data exfiltration, and botnets, among many others, thanks to its ability to learn the "normal" operations of any business to detect subtle anomalies indicative of a potential cyberthreat.
Its “Autonomous Response” capability takes proportionate and targeted actions to stop these threats, and its “ Cyber AI Analyst ” module automates investigations and significantly reduces the time and resources required to make the right decisions.
Regarding the provision of security operations services, this includes 24x7x365 monitoring and advanced investigation services from our Security Operations Center. The SOC has a highly qualified security team of expert cyber analysts and engineers who help clients protect their businesses against threats by conducting specialized investigations, notifying them, and providing all the information resulting from the investigation process.
“Today, cybercrime has become one of the greatest challenges facing society and the economy at all levels, which is why it is essential to have solutions like Darktrace, which allow organizations to protect themselves from even unknown threats at high speed,” says Belén Ferreiro, Cybersecurity Development Manager at Altia. “That is why it is so important for us to have our Security Operations Center, from which we provide 24/7 coverage and analysis services to companies and public administrations like the Consell de Mallorca, which becomes the perfect complement to our portfolio of next-generation cybersecurity solutions.”
Javier de Juan, Minister of the Presidency of the Consell de Mallorca, emphasized that the island institution's modernization process incorporates cutting-edge technology to guarantee network security. He also highlighted the fact that protection is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.
Continuous learning with Darktrace
The solution is based on Darktrace technology , which detects all types of threats wherever they occur in the enterprise, including new attacks and insider threats, and stops them before they cause damage. Artificial intelligence learns and understands the personality of each user and device, and is able to detect the subtle signs of an attack within seconds of its occurrence.
By using unsupervised machine learning, the Enterprise Immune System doesn't rely on training data, preconceived ideas of what's wrong, or fine-tuning to teach AI what to look for. Instead, Darktrace's technology learns on the job, developing a deep understanding of your business's DNA .
This means that Darktrace technology identifies threats that traditional solutions miss, evolves as your organization does, and never falls behind, making it an ideal solution for the Consell de Mallorca's requirements.
In this specific case, Darktrace is able to adapt in an evolutionary and personalized way , improving prevention, response times, and analysis to address the cybersecurity challenges facing public administrations.
“Using Darktrace’s self-learning AI, we can detect and stop cyberthreats instantly and autonomously, anywhere, anytime,” says Jose Badia, Country Manager for Spain and Portugal at Darktrace . “This project builds on the one recently launched for the five ports under the control of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands , reinforces the decisive role that Darktrace plays against cyberthreats, and demonstrates Altia’s commitment to cybersecurity and its team’s ability to lead cyberthreat projects within our ports.”
