ALTIA has been included by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) in two new indices created to increase the visibility of companies listed on the Alternative Stock Market (MAB) and to serve as an underlying benchmark for financial products and markets. These are the IBEX MAB® 15 and IBEX MAB® All Share indices, which will begin to be calculated and published from June 1st.
The IBEX MAB® 15 index comprises the 15 companies with the highest trading volume on the MAB (Alternative Stock Market). Its composition is reviewed semi-annually by the IBEX® Indices Technical Advisory Committee based on information provided by the companies to the market and their trading activity. ALTIA is included in this index, as it is currently the second-largest company on the MAB by market capitalization (€117 million at market close on May 9).
The IBEX MAB® All Share index, for its part, comprises all the stocks listed on the MAB. Its objective is to provide visibility to companies on the Alternative Stock Market and measure their performance in the market. Therefore, it does not have a fixed number of components.
The new parameters are integrated into the main series of Spanish stock market benchmark indices IBEX® and will be calculated in accordance with the technical rules for the composition and calculation of this series, establishing 1000 points as the base reference on December 31, 2015.
