On October 4 and 5, we'll see you at the Esri 2023 Conference, Europe's largest geospatial technology event, which will take place at Ifema, Madrid, and where the latest advances in geographic information systems (GIS) technology will be presented.
We'll be there at booth 11 to discuss the possibilities of GIS and some of our success stories.
In addition, we will be participating in the following presentations on October 5:
Smartcities (09:00-13:30 · N107)
- Virtual Reality Interfaces for GIS Applications (09:00- 09:20): Our colleagues Pako Navas and Yolanda Sampayo will explore the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) into Geographic Information Systems (GIS), presenting the benefits of this union, such as immersion in geospatial environments and improved understanding of complex data.
During the presentation, we will discuss methods for interacting with geospatial data in virtual environments and share case studies in urban planning, natural resource management, archaeology, and cartography. We will address the challenges and future prospects for implementing this technology. We will also demonstrate how virtual reality enhances visualization, analysis, and decision-making based on geospatial data. Moving towards Smart Territorial Management: Innovations and Applications of the Corporate Geovisor in Bizkaia (9:20-9:40): Accompanied by Iker Begolain, a digital strategy organization technician, Pako Navas will talk about the success story of the GIS application at Lantik.
Environment and natural hazards (09:00-13:30 · N108)
Optimizing Emergency Response through Isochrones: Innovation and Efficiency in Fire Station Allocation by the Bizkaia Fire Department (10:30-11:00): Mikel Ortega, Computer Engineer at Lantik, and our colleague Yolanda Sampayo will talk about the application of GIS to the work of the Bizkaia Fire Department for emergency management.
