extended reality

Virtual reality is a technologically generated environment of simulated, lifelike scenes and objects that gives the user the sensation of being immersed in it, usually through specific headsets. However, this environment offers many additional possibilities. These terms are sometimes confusing.

This is the case with augmented reality, where we begin to include objects, images, and similar things within our real environment. Another example could be the metaverse, a virtual world we'll connect to using a series of devices that will allow us to interact with it, generating an alternative reality in which we can do the same things we do today outside our homes.

These three concepts—virtual reality, metaverse, and augmented reality—converge into extended reality. Extended reality (XR) refers to the combination of all real and virtual environments, as well as computer-generated or wearable interactions.

All of this will allow us, over the next few years, to exponentially improve services to citizens, moving away from the replication of physical spaces in virtual environments and instead focusing on each way of improving reality that finds its optimal points for providing solutions to businesses and citizens.

Our goal: to extend reality to improve our lives.
