How did the idea for punto.tech come about?

It is an initiative that emerged within the ALTIA in_action team, framed within the Corporate Social Responsibility actions, with a focus on creating a positive impact on society. Punto.tech arose from the possibility of giving a second life to the computer equipment that has been replaced within the process of technological renewal of the company's workplaces. With this reuse and donation of equipment , ALTIA manages, on the one hand, to extend the life of the equipment by optimizing resources and advocating for reuse and sustainability within a responsible environmental framework, and on the other, to support different social entities .

What are the main objectives of the program?

This initiative was born with the aim of supporting actions to strengthen the elimination of the digital divide, which can deepen social inequalities as the most vulnerable see their participation in the digital world limited. We support the work of various organizations to eliminate these gaps by supporting projects aimed at bridging the digital divide in terms of access, skills, and types of use . Our goal is to collaborate on improving the classrooms of some organizations to enhance academic support or access to information technologies for people clearly at risk of social exclusion, in addition to improving the digital skills of potential punto.tech users.

How many collaborations are in progress?

We are currently in contact with several NGOs and associations with social goals to formalize donations of refurbished computer equipment and launch various punto.tech programs that can be used in the various activities and services they provide to the people who come to them.
