During this edition, a total of 17 talks were held in locations such as A Coruña, Ourense, Pontevedra, Madrid, and, for the first time, Bilbao, thus expanding the project's territorial reach. In total, more than 900 students attended these meetings with technology sector professionals.
One of the most notable results was the involvement of volunteers: 19 professionals from Altia and Bilbomática dedicated their time and expertise to bringing the world of technology into the classroom. This participation represents the largest number of volunteers at a GenTech event to date, further strengthening the team spirit.
Six editions transforming vocations
Since its launch, GenTech has reached more than 2,500 students in 80 talks held in 77 educational centers in four autonomous communities: Galicia, Madrid, the Valencian Community, and the Basque Country. Furthermore, the volunteer team has continued to grow: 33 professionals have now participated in one of the editions, sharing their journeys, challenges, and lessons learned in the ICT sector.
A space of inspiration between generations
GenTech isn't just a talk; it's a meeting place where students and professionals discuss the present and future of technology, the opportunities offered by a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education; and the key role that digital skills will play in the world of tomorrow. This year, the initiative has continued to strengthen its commitment to young talent, with a program that is growing not only in numbers but also in diversity, commitment, and reach.
