The Directorate General for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ) has awarded us the contract for technical assistance in the development, maintenance, and support of its electronic administration applications for a minimum amount of €280,247.13, which could reach €555,862.08. The initial contract term is seven months, with the option to extend for another seven months, and its objective is to ensure the operational continuity of the systems, facilitate their evolution, and meet the needs of internal and external users who utilize the agency's digital services.
The Directorate General for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ) is the Spanish public body responsible for the regulation, authorization, supervision, coordination, control, and sanctioning of gambling activities at the national level, including betting, online casinos, lotteries, and other games of chance. To support functions such as issuing licenses and authorizations, managing fees and registrations, and processing inspection and sanctioning files, it implemented a paperless office supported by a fully integrated processing system with its electronic headquarters, which has been consolidated and expanded with new functionalities since 2014.
Evolution
Given the need to maintain and continuously evolve applications, ensure operational continuity, and preserve specialized technical and functional knowledge, the DGOJ has entrusted us with the development of new functionalities, the corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing systems, and technical support for users of the electronic applications used by the DGOJ.
The technical work will include analysis, design, development, and testing of software to enhance applications, as well as the review of components and services, with a focus on addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring the stability of deployments . Functional and technical support will also be provided to the teams using the platforms in their daily operations, facilitating the resolution of queries and the handling of incidents according to established response and closure times, along with the necessary documentation for use and maintenance.
The service includes planning, monitoring and reporting activities to align the evolution of the systems with the objectives of the DGOJ and with the obligations arising from its relationship with operators and with the public.
“We are truly pleased to be supporting the DGOJ in a service focused on the continuity and improvement of its e-government applications,” says Natalia García, Director at ALTIA . “ Our accumulated experience in public sector projects and a metrics-driven approach will undoubtedly allow us to ensure the daily operation and evolution of the DGOJ's applications with the security, accessibility, and service levels that characterize us and enable us to continue growing.”
This agreement consolidates our experience in the modernization and support of highly critical public platforms and is part of our history of collaboration with European administrations and bodies, providing specialized teams and results-oriented methodologies to guarantee the continuity of service, the progressive improvement of applications and the quality of care for internal and external users.
